Our School and PhilosophyBalance Ball Yoga is a method for improving posture. To improve posture and movement of the whole body, we use a balance ball (exercise ball) to introduce our own concepts of human movement: Core, Body Alignment and Dynamic Fluid Movement. Balance Ball Yoga (BBY) was established in January 2007. Since then, more than 300 students from all over the world have successfully attended BBY courses. 25 of these international students became accredited BBY instructors. We are proud of the fact that success in the Balance Ball Yoga courses is not limited to only a selected few. We have even taught Balance Ball Yoga courses school children in Europe. Balance Ball Yoga was created the director of Thai Healing Art School International, Chiang Mai, Thailand as a teaching Method of Thai Massage. The aim is to improve the massage therapists’ posture and movement in order to give more effective massages to clients. It was developed from an interest in human and animal movements, experience of several sports and post-graduate academic studies in sports science. But now this Balance Ball Yoga has been developed as the method to improve posture and movement for all. Therefore we offer the Balance Ball Yoga not only massage practitioners but also all the person. We accept students from all over the world regardless of gender, age and physical fitness. Everyone can succeed and build self-confidence, as progress is an individual journey rather than a competition. Each student works individually with a Balance Ball to improve personal coordination, strength and concentration. No one is forced beyond his/her ability or comfort level. You will never be left alone without assistance from the instructor. Balance Ball Yoga lessons are taught step-by-step in an effective and enjoyable format. The sequence of exercises develop your familiarity with your core, body alignment and Dynamic Fluid Movements without difficult or advanced movements. By practising many simple and enjoyable yogic positions you will be able to develop your posture and movements, your place in nature and society, and how to perform even everyday activities with increased strength and ease. The possibilities of Balance Ball Yoga are infinite. It can be combined with many areas of knowledge and is a method that generates joy and happiness due to its nature. |
Balance Ball Yoga accepts students all over the world regardless of gender, age, fitness levels, mild disabilities.
