This concept of Balance Ball Yoga supports the notion that the body can heal itself through re-education methods. Body alignment exercises encourage proprioception, which is the kinaesthetic sense within the body that recognises changes in your posture and movement. As you learn to synchronize the centre of the Balance Ball with your body, you will find your point of balance by:

  • Re-educating the body with movements that promote correct body alignment
  • Sretching the body for a neutral and effective position of the spine
  • Coordinating the skeletal system to perform yoga positions on the balance ball

The Balance Ball moves all the time while you try to find its centre and your own core and body alignment. That means that your body will reorganize itself into a neutral position.
