All the exercises in Balance Ball Yoga utilise a wide range of large and small muscles. You learn how to use all parts of your body equally and effectively. Your body realises the importance of having a neutral spine and moving effectively in your everyday life. To understand the resources you have and how you can help your body to organise itself. The knowledge you acquire through Balance Ball Yoga will be linked to your specific needs according to your profession and/or lifestyle.
Balance Ball Yoga - Advanced Course - Contents
Many exercises in the Balance Ball Yoga Advanced course contain the use of two or three Balance Balls. This helps you to locate your core and effective body alignment in more challenging ways. Synchronising two Balance Balls with your body alignment and core is more difficult than just balancing on one. The exercises contain static, dynamic and acrobatic movements with two Balance Balls. You learn to discover how important it is to develop a Dynamic Fluid Movement in order to control complex movements. During the course you develop a sense for your inner attitude and purpose, learning how to focus on what you really want. The philosophy of Balance Ball Yoga arises through exercising it.
Balance Ball Yoga - Advanced Course - Teaching Method
During the Advanced Course, your spinal coordination is assessed using an anatomical approach. Personal performance is closely observed to develop your spine coordination and clear direction is given to improve your body alignment and core as well as your Dynamic Fluid Movement. Techniques for alleviating specific body ailments or discomforts are taught. We also use individual stretching, and stretching with the help of a partner, to improve your posture and movement. In addition, more advanced in-depth anatomical knowledge, bio-mechanics of the joints and trigger point therapy is shared to further improvement of your movement.
Each exercise on the Balance Ball questions your body and mind simultaneously. It is you who has to realise and discover effective use of your own body alignment and core. Therefore, improvement is in accordance with your personal ability and rhythm.
