By practicing balance ball yoga, your body is naturally re-educated to have a neutral position. This will help not only to prevent strain or overuse problems, but also to have elegant posture and movements in many activities.
In the Balance Ball Yoga - Advanced course, we will focus on how each segment of your body affects posture and movement. By performing yoga positions on the Balance Ball, you body will re-educate and recognize itself into the best position in each movement. We will correct poor posture and faulty movement by performing yoga positions on the balance ball. This will re-educate your body to naturally position itself into the correct posture that is necessary for improved movement. To gain this natural posture and movement, we will practice many yoga positions on the balance ball. We will also use our knowledge of sports biomechanics to give you a deeper understanding of how to perform with fluid movement that is found in top athletes such as dancers, yoga practitioners, gymnastics and other competitive sports. Your movement will be dramatically improved and you can maximize your ability for a specific performance.
This course further develops the skills learned during the Balance Ball Yoga - Basic Course with a stronger focus on your awareness of body alignment. This is achieved through more complicated yoga positions on the balance ball that move the body core farther away from the ball center. The strong posture that you develop enables dynamic, fluid movement by generating a resource of additional power that allows your movements to have greater force with less effort. Your body balance is dramatically improved by learning how to utilize head and shoulder movements for more effective spinal coordination. Your daily movements become effortless and well-balanced, as you use the maximum potential of your whole body.
